Five arrested with drugs in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Police have detained five individuals in connection with drug possession in various locations across Kailali.

Shyam Chaudhary, 25, of Tikapur Municipality-1, Vijayanagar, was arrested along with another individual for drug use on an inner road section in Tikapur Municipality-2, Vijayanagar. A police team from the Area Police Office, Tikapur, seized 40 milligrams of drugs from the pair.

In a separate operation, Birendra Chaudhary, 29, of Godavari Municipality-1, Bhagatpur, was found with 210 milligrams of brown heroin. He was apprehended by a joint police team from the District Police Office, Kailali, and the Area Police Office, Malakheti.

Another arrest was made near Barrel in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3, where Deepak Chadara, 34, of Godavari Municipality-3, was caught with 420 milligrams of brown heroin. The operation was conducted by officers from the District Police Office, Kailali.

Additionally, 26-year-old Rabindra Singh Bhandari of Khatigaun, Byas Rural Municipality-6, Darchula, was apprehended near the Bus Park in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-4. A police team from the temporary Bus Park post confiscated 130 milligrams of brown heroin from him.

The police detained all five individuals on Saturday and have launched further investigations into the incidents.
