Protesting students remove flags welcoming Deuba in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: Students protesting against the Bill on the Formation, Operation, and Service Conditions of Sudurpaschim Province Local Levels-2081 have removed flags hoisted in Dhangadhi to welcome Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The flags, which were placed near the protest site, were taken down by students demonstrating in front of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers’ Office. The protest was part of an ongoing movement against the bill, which students claim provides undue benefits to temporary and contract employees at the local level.
Following the removal of the flags, Nepali Congress-affiliated students protested in response, leading to a temporary road blockage.

Deuba is scheduled to arrive in Sudurpaschim tomorrow to inaugurate the Nepali Congress Provincial Convention. The flags had been hoisted in his honor ahead of his visit.
