Four arrested for selling hashish in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Police have arrested four individuals on charges of selling hashish in Kanchanpur.

Acting on a confidential tip-off, authorities searched a grocery shop near Mahakali Mata Temple in Dodhara Chandani Municipality-4, operated by 36-year-old Janaki Damai. The search uncovered 19.54 grams of hashish from Damai, 1.07 grams from 39-year-old Gaukhe Damai, and 0.61 grams from 21-year-old Avishek Sunar of Bhimdatta Municipality-11, Bhujela. All three were taken into custody by a team from the Area Police Office, Dodhara Chandani, and further investigation is ongoing.

In a separate incident, 21-year-old Deepak Rana of Kaluwapur, Krishnapur Municipality-7, was arrested after a search of his house revealed 0.11 grams of brown heroin hidden in his bedroom. Rana was taken into custody by a team from the Area Police Office, Raikwar.

Police are conducting further investigations into both cases.
