Senior AHEB of Malikarjun rural municipality passes away, Mourning holiday declared

Darchula: Dinesh Prasad Joshi, Senior AHEB of Malikarjun Rural Municipality, Darchula, has passed away.

Joshi, who was serving at the Uku Health Post in Malikarjun Rural Municipality-6, died during treatment on Monday. He collapsed at the health post around 11 a.m. and was immediately taken to the District Hospital in Darchula. As treatment was not possible there, efforts were made to transfer him to Pasti Basic Hospital for further care.

However, Joshi's condition deteriorated en route to Dhangadhi, and upon reaching Pasti Basic Hospital, he was declared dead by the attending doctor, according to Acting Chief Administrative Officer Dhami.

In honor of his passing, Malikarjun Rural Municipality has announced a mourning holiday on Tuesday, closing all offices except those providing essential services.

Joshi's ancestral home is in Makanna, Lekam Rural Municipality-3, Darchula, although he and his family currently reside in Kanchanpur.
