Absconding defendants in domestic violence and rape cases arrested in Dadeldhura

Dadeldhura: Two individuals convicted in domestic violence and rape cases, who had been evading authorities, have been apprehended in Dadeldhura.

Shyam Bohara, 29, of Alital Rural Municipality-1, was sentenced to 15 days in prison along with a fine of Rs 7,000 and a compensation order of Rs 15,000 in a domestic violence case. Similarly, Gagan B.K, 40, of Parshuram Municipality-1, Salon, was sentenced to pay Rs 30,000 in a rape case.

Both individuals had been declared absconding after the Dadeldhura District Court issued their sentences on separate occasions. They were arrested on Friday by a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Dadeldhura.
