One-year-old girl strangled to death in Bajhang; Suspect arrested

Dhangadhi: A one-year-old girl was tragically strangled to death in Bajhang district.

Prem Bahadur Bohara, 32, of Naula in Surma Rural Municipality-1, is accused of killing the minor by grabbing her throat. According to police, Bohara had married 20-year-old Manakala Saund of Mangalsen Municipality-3, Achham, and brought her to his home on Bhadra 22, 2081 BS.

Following a dispute between Bohara and Manakala on Mangsir 2, 2081 BS, Bohara allegedly strangled the child, identified as Geeta Saund.

Bohara has been arrested by Bajhang police. The District Attorney's Office has secured a seven-day remand for further investigation, as confirmed by Harako Province Police.
