Motorcycle passenger killed in jeep collision in Doti

Doti: A tragic accident occurred in Doti when a jeep collided with a motorcycle, leaving one person dead.

Lokendra Saud, 32, of Dipayal-Silgadi Garpalika-1 Sirkholi, sustained critical injuries while riding pillion on a motorcycle with registration number Sudurpaschim Pradesh 03001 P 0668. The incident took place on the Bhimdatta Highway in Shikhar Municipality-8, when an unmarked white Bolero jeep, traveling from Dadeldhura toward Dipayal, struck the motorcycle.

Police confirmed that Saud succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Saturday. The motorcyclist, 27-year-old Prakesh V.k, also from Sirkholi, has been referred to Dhangadhi for further medical care.

The District Police Office, Doti, has launched a search operation for the jeep, which fled the scene after the collision.
