Police seize customs-evaded goods in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Authorities have confiscated customs-evaded goods valued at approximately Rs 25,130 in Kanchanpur.

The items were illegally imported from India, bypassing customs checks, and were seized on Saturday by a police patrol team deployed under the District Police Office, Kanchanpur. The operation took place in Bhimdatta Municipality-10, Gajjar, and Belauri Municipality-1, Baisakhi.

The seized goods include sugar, jaggery, cooking oil, potatoes, paint, boilers, chickens, and eggs. These items have been taken under police control, highlighting the continued efforts to curb customs evasion in the region.
