Global IME bank becomes main sponsor of Sudurpaschim Royals
Dhangadhi: Global IME Bank has signed a sponsorship agreement with Sudurpaschim Royals, a team participating in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The agreement was finalized at an event in Kathmandu, with Swatantra Pratap Shah, owner of Sudurpaschim Royals, and Suman Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank, signing on behalf of their respective organizations.
Expressing gratitude to Global IME Bank, Shah remarked, "We are deeply thankful to Global IME Bank for joining us on this journey. Their support strengthens our resolve to achieve our goal of winning the title. We hope to bring more happiness by securing the championship."
Deputy CEO Pokharel highlighted the bank’s commitment to advancing Nepali cricket. "We are proud to support Sudurpaschim Royals for the overall development of cricket in Nepal. This collaboration reflects our responsibility to elevate the sport to greater heights, and we are all thrilled about this partnership," said Pokharel.
Sudurpaschim Royals have previously partnered with several other organizations, including SPA as their education partner, X-Edge as their gadget partner, Maya Metro Hospital as their medical partner, Nepal Airlines as their airline partner, Salico as their insurance partner, Raika Tours and Treks as their travel partner, Nepal Telecom as their telecom partner, Surya Ply as their strength partner, and Kumari Job as their career partner. Additionally, the team has secured a collaboration with Marriott Kathmandu for accommodations during the tournament.
The NPL, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), is scheduled to run from Mangsir 15 to Poush 6, featuring eight teams. Sudurpaschim Royals will begin their campaign against Biratnagar Kings on Mangsir 18.
The Royals’ squad includes marquee player and record-breaking all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airey, along with Arif Sheikh, Abhinas Bohora, Vinod Bhandari, Arjun Kumal, Khadak Bohora, Ishan Pandey, Naresh Budhaair, Bhojraj Bhatt, Naren Saud, Amit Shrestha, Vasant Khatri, Brandon McMullan (Scotland), Saif Ali Zeb (England), Scott Kuggeleijn (New Zealand), and Rohan Mustafa (UAE).
The team is mentored by Australia’s Brad Hodge, with former national team coach Jagat Tamata serving as the head coach.
