Sudurpaschim team announced for PM cup T-20 women's cricket tournament
Dhangadhi: The final squad of Sudurpaschim Province for the Prime Minister's Cup T-20 Women's Cricket National Tournament has been announced. Laxman Dutta Bhatta, Secretary of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association, confirmed the selection of a 14-member team led by captain Bindu Rawal.
The team includes Ritu Kanoujia, Kavita Kunwar, Shobha Rokaya, Karishma Thapa, Janaki Thapa, Rabina Saud, Chetna Kunwar, Revati Dhami, Manju Bista, Manisha Bohara, Rabina Dhami, Ashika Mahara, and Manisha Khatri. Neeraj Chand has been appointed as the coach, with Parbati Bohara serving as manager and Dipendra Bohara as the physio and assistant coach.
According to Provincial Cricket Association President Vasudev Joshi, the final team was selected based on the players' performances during a closed training session held at the Dasharath Chand Cricket Ground in Baitadi. Twenty players who excelled in the Sudurpaschim Province-level selection tournament, held in Baitadi from Poush 19 to 25, participated in the training.
The Prime Minister's Cup Women's Cricket Tournament, organized by the Nepal Cricket Association and managed by the Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association, is scheduled to commence in Dhangadhi on Magh 1, as part of the National Sports Council's program.
