Teenage girl killed in bus accident in Kailali

Dhangadhi: A tragic bus accident claimed the life of a 13-year-old girl in Kailali on Tuesday morning.

Harina Bik, the daughter of Nagar Bahadur Bik and a resident of Gauriganga Municipality-9, Raziya, was struck by a bus while crossing the road in Masuria, Gauriganga Municipality-8, at around 6:20 am.

The bus was traveling westward when the accident occurred. Harina sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

The bus driver, Rajesh Chaudhary of Ghodaghodi Municipality-1, has been taken into custody, confirmed DSP Kavindra Singh Bohara of the District Police Office, Kailali. Authorities are investigating the incident.
