National youth association cup volleyball final: Malika to face doti today in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: The final match of the National Youth Association Cup Volleyball Tournament 2081 is set to take place today in Dhangadhi, Kailali.

Team Malika and the National Youth Association Doti advanced to the title clash after eliminating Shah Poultry Farm and Rana Tharu Adarsh Youba Club in the semi-finals held yesterday. The championship match between the two finalists will begin at 3 PM.

The open men's volleyball tournament, organized by the National Youth Association Nepal Sudurpaschim Province Committee since Chaitra 29, will award Rs 225,000 to the winner. The runner-up will receive Rs 125,000, while the third-place team will be awarded Rs 75,000, along with trophies, medals, and certificates, according to the organizers.

The tournament, inaugurated by CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, will conclude today with a ceremony led by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari.

Arun Kuwar, Chairman of the National Youth Association Nepal Sudurpaschim Province Committee, stated that the tournament was organized with the objective of raising awareness against the rising issue of drug addiction in society.
