Far west provincial assembly session concludes amid opposition obstruction

Dhangadhi: Far West Provincial Chief Nazir Miyan has ended the ongoing session of the Provincial Assembly.

A provincial cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to end the session and made a recommendation to the chief. Acting on the government’s recommendation, Provincial Chief Miyan concluded the session in accordance with Article 183 (2) of the Constitution, effective from midnight on Monday, according to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.

The secretariat has already informed all Provincial Assembly members of the session’s conclusion. The fifth session of the assembly had been convened by the Provincial Chief on 27 Shrawan 2081. However, the meeting could not proceed as opposition parties continuously obstructed the Provincial Assembly. Despite opposition from these parties, the government decided to end the session.
