Man arrested for fatally shooting wife in Dadeldhura

Dadeldhura: Police have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting his wife in Amargadhi Municipality-3, Pathroda, Dadeldhura.

The incident occurred on Monday at 4:30 pm when 32-year-old Dambar Bahadur Thapa Magar, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, shot his 24-year-old wife, Asmita Thapa Magar, during a domestic dispute. According to police, the shooting took place in the courtyard of their residence, with Asmita succumbing to a gunshot wound to the chest at the scene.

Acting on information about the incident, a team from the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, apprehended Dambar Bahadur Thapa Magar while he was attempting to flee with the loaded firearm used in the shooting. The police have confiscated the weapon and are conducting further investigations into the case.
